More than just a place to lay your head or store your gear; this self contained unit combines retro ambiance with style and the opportunity to enjoy Bright and all it has to offer the visitor.
Go out: A short stroll takes you to the banks of the Ovens River and popular swimming and fishing holes and the wonders of the bush. A longer stroll takes you into town. Park in the carport and use your bikes on the local cycle path to ride into town and join up with other cycle paths. A drive opens up all the wonders of the surrounding countryside.
Stay in. If chilling out is what you want, curl up with a good read in the unit, at the swimming pool or in the unit’s own courtyard. Cook up a storm, using herbs from the garden. You can eat either in the unit, its shady private courtyard or the communal BBQ courtyard. Star gaze at night. Feed the King Parrots and watch their antics from the comfort of the lounge and wake up and go to sleep with the sounds of Kookaburra’s laughing with you. With luck you may even see a lizard or a frog raiding the worm farm in the garden. Enjoy!

KITCHEN & DINING
The kitchen is compact but well-equipped with electric cooking, dishwasher & microwave the full sized fridge/freezer is located in the laundry off the kitchen. The dining table seats 5 comfotably and is open plan with the lounge & kitchen.
The loungeroom is very comfortable and has a very generous library of books to read during your stay and a TV with and DVD player.
HEATING & COOLING
A split system in the lounge keeps the unit cool in Summer and warm in Winter.
The bathroom consists of a shower, vanity and toilet in the one area.
A private courtyard at the rear of the unit is the perfect place to sit, relax and catch up with friends. The BBQ is a Weber kettle and the outdoor setting seats 4 -6 comfortably.
Kookaburra Nook is not a pet friendly property.
The laundry is located off the kitchen and features a washing machine, ironing board and iron. The full sized fridge/freezer is located here as well.
Kookaburra Nook features undercover parking for one car.
